Legendary French actor Alain Delon passed away at the age of 88.
The French film industry’s golden age featured the actor, who gained fame for his rugged on-screen persona in popular films such as Borsalino and The Samurai.According to a statement provided to the AFP news agency, “He passed away peacefully in his home in Douchy, surrounded by his three children and his family.”

His movie roles became fewer starting in the 1990s, but he continued to be mentioned frequently in the tabloids.
Throughout his career, he made appearances in over 90 films.
