The “Gas Cylinder” has been designated as President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s election symbol for the September 21 presidential contest.
Wickremesinghe is running as an independent in the presidential race.

On Wednesday, 14th, Wickremesinghe signed his nomination documents at his Flower Road office.
Yesterday, he showed up at the Rajagiriya Election Commission to turn in his nomination paperwork.Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena was with him.All 39 presidential candidates’ nominations were received by the Election Commission yesterday (15).
