Opposition leader Sajith Premadasa stated that everyone should unite to defend the rights of the people because those attempting to usurp power are doing so by breaking the constitution.

As he addressed the crowd and held up the constitution, the opposition leader extended an invitation to all of them to demonstrate in support of it.
