(PTI) Veteran journalist B Muralidhar Reddy passed away. He spent many years as a journalist for The Hindu, serving as the publication’s correspondent for Pakistan and Sri Lanka. He was sixty-four.
Following a brief illness, Reddy passed away on Saturday night at Delhi’s Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.

In the 1980s, Reddy began working as a city reporter for The Hindu when its Delhi edition was introduced. As the newspaper’s political correspondent, he reported on numerous significant occasions. In December 1992, he also reported on the Babri Masjid’s demolition.
He was assigned by The Hindu in 2000 as its Pakistani correspondent in Islamabad and later as its Sri Lankan correspondent in Colombo.
Before joining The Hindu, Reddy, an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, held positions with Mainstream and National Herald. Manan, his son, and wife Aparna Srivastava, a former PTI journalist, survive him.
