More than sixty police officers—junior, mid-level, and senior—have benefited from the excellent training programmes offered since the start of 2024 on a range of topics, including crime scene management, artificial intelligence and cybercrime investigation, and VIP security training. The Indian government (GoI) is offering these courses as part of the “Aid to Sri Lanka” programme and the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC). This year, more than 130 police officers from Sri Lanka are anticipated to receive training in India.
